Goal, Goal, Goal by James (from Soccer Rocks the Globe, Mercury, 1994)

Any resemblance that the sentiment of this song has to the actual scoring in the 2010 World Cup is purely coincidental. Apparently there is no truth to the rumor that James is currently working on a 2014 World Cup song titled “Nil-Nil Draw”.

El Gato Montes by Don Vincente and His Orchestra (from  Bullfighting Music from Spain, PMC, 1998)

Moten’s Swing by Bennie Moten’s Kansas City Orchestra (from Masters of Jazz, Vol. 3, Rhino, 1996)

This just sounds like something you’d hear emanating from the cockpit of a Packard Speedster or Ripley Light Six. 23 skidoo!

The Biggest Fish in the Sea by Waterbound (from Sometimes A Great Ocean, Self Published, 1994)

Well, this week’s 337 lb. catch off of Alaska may not be the biggest fish in the sea, but I thought I’d use this song just for the halibut.

This program aired on June 18, 2010. The audio for this program is not available.
