Thabiti Boone was one of the best high school basketball players in New York City. However, after finding out that his girlfriend was pregnant, and later becoming a single parent, he chose family over a chance for Division I basketball glory. Now 47, Boone works with President Barack Obama’s Fathering and Mentoring Initiative and promotes caring and effective parenting. Bill speaks with Boone about his difficult childhood and the tough decisions he had to make.
