Long known as the dean of the White House press corps, Helen Thomas has covered every U.S. president since John F. Kennedy.

Her post as White House correspondent for United Press International, which she held until she resigned in May of 2000, gives her a unique perspective on the inner workings of the past nine administrations and their sometimes rocky relationships with the press.

Thomas is now a columnist for Hearst newspapers. Her new book, "Thanks for the Memories, Mr. President" is a collection of anecdotes and statements from the presidents she has covered. This hour, Helen Thomas with the inside scoop on George W. Bush and the several other presidents she has covered.
