My Invented Country with Isabel Allende

The author of many books, celebrated best-selling writer and novelist Isabel Allende tells her own story in her new memoir "My Invented Country." It is the story of her living in and living in exile from her homeland, Chile.

The military coup of September 11, 1973 in Allende's native country, Chile, claimed the life of her uncle, Chilean leader Salvador Allende, and forced her and her family into exile. The terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001 in her adopted country, the United States, found Isabel, once again, watching in horror.
