Fire in California and Colorado and more this week. Threatened fire around the Quran. And there's a heavyweight battle over the economy.

In Milwaukee and Cleveland, President Obama waded in hard on infrastructure spending and taxes. Republicans pushed back hard, as midterm elections come in view. Chicago won’t have a Mayor Daley soon, which may mean White House turnover.

And from Petraeus in Afghanistan, to the Oval Office, to clergy in New York, there are pleas to a small church preacher in Florida not to burn the Quran.
