Montaigne Strikes Again

Author Sarah Bakewell won the National Book Critics Circle award for biography last week for her work, "How to Live: Or a Life of Montaigne in One Question and Twenty Attempts at an Answer."  She joined us to talk about Montaigne in November, if you want to bone up on advice from a 16th-century "blogger."

Also, Kwame Anthony Appiah just wrote an article in Slate on Montaigne and Sarah's book.  It's worth checking out.

This program aired on March 16, 2011. The audio for this program is not available.
