OK, we know this summer’s movies have all been here before, sort of: "Kung Fu Panda," "The Hangover," Jonny Depp as a pirate, "Conan the Barbarian," Harry Potter the endless, "X-Men," "Transfomers," even "Planet of the Apes" — all back. Watch out.

But it’s not all re-runs out there for summer.

Terence Malick gives us the beginning and end of the universe in "The Tree of Life." JJ Abrams has “Super 8”. Tom Hanks is in "Larry Crowne." We’ve got “The Help” on film. Thor checking in. Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris”. And Mel, yes Mel, Gibson.
