Joplin, Mo., — steamrolled, torn apart, by a massive, churning twister. Balkan war criminal Ratko Mladic — he of the 8000 men and boys massacred — captured. President Obama, cheered in Ireland, toasting with the Queen and talking Libya in Europe.

An upset Democratic congressional victory in New York over GOP Medicare plans. And Republicans in, out and on the bubble for 2012 — Pawlenty, Daniels, Bachman, Palin.
