Rebecca Sugar Sings For Us

Cartoonist Rebecca Sugar is an Emmy-nominated writer for her work on "Adventure Time," and a pioneering female cartoonist with her new Cartoon Network show, "Steven Universe." She joined us on Nov. 21 to tell us about her creative process, her love of anime and how her childhood doodles became big-time cartoon staples in a crowded modern TV landscape.

But she's also a talented songwriter. Many of her songs — written on, among other instruments, her trusty ukulele — end up as key plot points in her animated work. Sugar was kind enough to share two of her songs live with us during our interview. They're short, sweet and terribly catchy.
