Our Week In The Web: June 13, 2014

It was certainly a busy week here in the On Point bullpen — we even ventured out in the wider world for a special edition of On Point LIVE with Dr. Atul Gawande! Beyond that, we thought we might take the time this Friday to reflect on the first week of our experiment with new ways of Facebook content sharing (in case any of you care / have wondered). It's admittedly rather early to tell in the aggregate when compared to hour long history of sharing soundless hours ahead of broadcast on Facebook. However, we do notice that many of you seem to appreciate the facts and quotes from guests ahead of broadcast, and seem eager to share those bits of information in great number. On the other end, we're also glad to see that shared hours with sound included after broadcast move in a big way to a large number of our Facebook fans, meaning that you're both interested in sharing your opinion on our coming topics and excited to share our conversations after they happen. Again, these observations are early and radically unscientific. But they are promising, and are a big part of our ongoing effort to make our conversations with guests and with our digital and on-air audience stronger and more meaningful across the board.
