Criticism, Conservatism And Dinesh D'Souza

Our conversation with best-selling conservative author and documentary filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza drew a lot of heat, even before we went to air. "I have a stack here...the thickest stack I've ever had coming into a show of people protesting the fact that we're even talking to you," host Tom Ashbrook told D'Souza near the beginning of the hour. "What is it about your message that is provocative to so many?"

"I'm not surprised when people feel uncomfortable, I'm not surprised when Leftists start screaming," D'Souza said. "It's because their ideology is at stake. They've spent a lot of time manufacturing this narrative, and I'm challenging it."
