Meet The Interns, Fall 2015

In case you didn't notice around here, we've been trying to introduce you to some of our intrepid intern staff — the people who make things happen who you don't always know exist. But they do! And they're great! And now, midway through their autumn term, we want you to meet them.

This time, we'll blame the interns for the delay — because it's real and true! We tried! And here it's early October already!

A Thing About You That Has Nothing To Do With Radio or School:
This fall, I performed on Fenway Park's Green Monster with a percussion ensemble during Boston's Hub Week. No really, performed on it. The ensemble I performed with commissioned composers to write site specific pieces of music written for drummers to bang hammers and mallets on the resonant metal support structure that holds up the most coveted viewpoint in the stadium.

A Piece Of Audio (Music, Radio, ANYTHING) That Means Something To You, and WhyEpisode 117 of Marc Maron's "WTF Podcast." Marc Maron interviewed Ira Glass in that episode; who are two of my favorite people in radio/podcasting. Listening them talk shop for an hour gives great insight as to why they are so good at what they do, and how differently they approach each of their shows. It's a truly inspiring hour of audio for anyone in the radio/podcast world.

A Thing About You That Has Nothing To Do With Radio or School: I lived on three continents growing up.

A Piece Of Audio (Music, Radio, ANYTHING) That Means Something To You, and Why: Hans Zimmer's "Time" is incredibly powerful, moving, beautiful and so, so inspiring. It is a genius work of art and has been my go to sound ever since its release. I even do the dishes to this music because it makes me feel like I'm saving humanity.
