Boston foodies crowded around the TV this week to watch Jody Adams, of Harvard Square's famed Rialto Restaurant, compete on "Top Chef Masters." The Bravo reality show pits established chefs from around the country against one another in elaborate cook-offs.

Adams' fans gathered at Rialto to watch their hero in battle for the fifth week. But the night didn't quite have the ending they hoped for.
