A new report says life for doctors in Massachusetts is tougher than that of their colleagues practicing elsewhere in the country.

The Massachusetts Medical Society based its report on several factors that affect the work environment for physicians here, including the rising cost of malpractice premiums, an aging work force and the burdens of running an office.
