Last year the Oxford American Dictionary named "unfriend" its word of the year. Nevertheless, according to a new survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, the majority of technology experts believe the Internet will mostly improve our social relations over the next 10 years. Things they also believe: The Internet will make us smarter, not dumber; will improve reading and writing; and, for the most part, will remain largely unrestricted.

Guest:

  • Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Internet and American Life Project.

This program aired on July 6, 2010.
