Rain has started to fall and winds are picking up. It's a prelude to the hurricane that New England has been bracing for all week.

The good news is that Hurricane Earl has lost some of its steam on its journey up the Atlantic coast. It's been downgraded to a Category One hurricane. But it's still expected to pack a wallop, especially on Nantucket and the Cape this evening and overnight.

We get the latest on the storm and an on-the-ground report from the Cape.

Guests:

  • Bianca Vazquez Toness, WBUR reporter, on Cape Cod
  • David Brown, Channel 5 meteorologist
