In his new book, music journalist Rob Sheffield hearkens back to his '80s adolescence in Boston, linking music to life's most colorful and interesting moments. In this interview, Sheffield remembers his wacky formative years, including job stints as a trash collector for the Department of Public Works and a summer spent as a Boston ice cream man.
