Mike Birbiglia mines comedic gold from his painful life stories, and many come from his childhood in Central Massachusetts. Like many comedians, he struggled early on. But in recent years he's won acclaim for his appearances on This American Life, The Moth, and his one-man off-Broadway show called "Sleepwalk With Me." Now he's out with a new book with the same title. We talk with the author about his childhood, his parents, and his early years on the comedy circuit.
