Most people don't equate hospital food with fine dining. But a handful of Boston hospital chefs are trying to shed a stigma that has haunted their industry for years.

So at the 90th anniversary celebration of the Massachusetts Health Council on Tuesday night, seven executive chefs from local medical facilities competed in a "Battle of the Health Care Chefs" for the title of best chef in the health care industry.

The winner? Listen to find out.

  • Colin Targett, Executive Chef, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
  • James Connolly, Regional Executive Chef, Atria Senior Living Group
  • Brian Ray, Executive Chef, Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore
  • Adam Pagan, Executive Chef, Hebrew SeniorLife's NewBridge on the Charles

This program aired on October 13, 2010.
