For nearly six decades, Hubie Jones has been an activist and organizer in Boston.

Jones has headed more than 30 organizations and spent his life trying to improve the lives of Boston's youth. A former dean of BU's School of Social Work, Jones recently won a 2010 Purpose Prize to continue his work.

Among the many organizations Jones is associated with is the Boston Children's Chorus, of which he is founder and president. The chorus has scheduled a holiday concert on December 11.
