On Hospitals' Front Lines, Nurses Change Health Care
Play
Author Suzanne Gordon’s book “When Chicken Soup Isn’t Enough” tells the story of nurses and how they stand up for their patients and their profession.
Gordon says nurses have an image problem and are not perceived as health care experts that save lives every day, even though nurses are the health care providers that spend the most time with patients.

We'll talk about why nurses often have to fight to advocate for their patients.
Guests:
- Suzanne Gordon, author, "When Chicken Soup Isn't Enough"
- Jean Chaisson, registered nurse, Community Health Network
