For many cities and towns across the state, the weather outside this winter has been frightful — all this white snow has left many of their snow removal budgets in the red.

The massive snowfall comes at a tough time as Gov. Patrick wants to cut aid to cities and towns by as much as $65 million to help close the state's estimated $1.2 billion budget shortfall. That means municipal officials may have to look elsewhere to find the money to pay for the cleanup. WBUR's Adam Ragusea tells us more.
