Hard to believe, but it's true.
It happened in 2009: Marcia Gould, who's now 73, was on dialysis and had been waiting for a kidney for four years. Then she heard from a friend that someone on Craigslist was offering to give away one of his kidneys for free — to anyone who needed it.
Craigslist is known for its fountain of goods and services but this time, the website may have actually saved someone's life. WBUR's CommonHealth co-host Carey Goldberg has the story.
