Tuesday morning, after much anticipation, Massachusetts released its official 2010 census figures.

Back in December, the state had already learned that it was going to lose a congressional seat because its population wasn't growing as quickly as the rest of the country. Tuesday, Secretary of State William Galvin released the final town and city data and Galvin dropped a bit of a bomb-shell when he said that the Boston had lost over 14,000 people over the past 10 years.

That turned out to be wrong. It sparked a quick reaction from City Hall, and a follow up news conference from Secretary Galvin, in which he released updated figures.
