Since 2007, Jordan's Furniture has been offering to absolve customers of their debts on items purchased within certain dates on the condition that the Red Sox achieve certain goals, like sweeping the World Series.

In 2008, Jordan's customer Gisela Levin of Marblehead filed a lawsuit alleging that the Jordan's giveaway constitutes an illegal lottery. Monday, the Massachusetts Appeals Court ruled that the Jordan's deal is perfectly legal.
