Patrick Takes On Violence In Wake Of Shooting
ResumeGov. Deval Patrick launched a new strategy aimed at eliminating youth violence in Massachusetts Monday at the Mildred Avenue Community Center. The announcement follows on the heels of the fatal shooting of a 19-year old at Boston's Savin Hill MBTA station on Saturday.
Patrick's plan includes seeking $10 million in public and private funds to support anti-violence programs, filing legislation that would toughen gun laws and issuing an executive order emphasizing his administrations commitment to partnering with local officials.
