New Hepatitis Drug Wins FDA Approval08:30

This week, federal regulators approved a drug called Incivek, produced by Cambridge-based Vertex Pharmaceuticals to treat Hepatitis C.

FDA approval means the new drug will be in pharmacies across the country this week. Incivek will become the first new blockbuster drug brought to market by a Massachusetts company in nearly a decade.
