Tornadoes tear through parts of Western Massachusetts, killing at least three people, flattening houses and leaving communities to assess the destruction that's expected to be in the tens of millions of dollars.

Former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney makes it official in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, Sarah Palin tours Boston historical sites.

Plus, the prosecution wraps up a month of testimony in the Sal DiMasi trial, and the police response to a thousand youths at Carson Beach continues to raise questions.

Radio Boston takes a look at the week's news.

Guest:

  • Craig Sandler, general manager, State House News Service
  • Derrick Jackson, columnist, Boston Globe

This segment aired on June 3, 2011.
