DiMasi Defense May Rest This WeekPlay
Lawyers for former House Speaker Sal DiMasi and his two co-defendants began laying out the defense's argument Monday as the corruption trial heads into its second month. The big surprise: while the prosecution took a month laying out its argument, the defense may end up finishing in less than a week.
In court Monday, lawyers revealed that the defense plans to wrap up testimony as soon as Wednesday — meaning jurors could be receiving instruction and start deliberating Thursday — much sooner than originally expected.
