First an earthquake, and now a hurricane. We're not used to this in the Northeast!

The political world had its share of shakes and rumbles as well. With little warning, Gov. Deval Patrick and state legislative leaders sprang a fully-formed compromise for expanded gambling and Eric Fehrnstrom — a top-flight Mass. GOP operative — got his wings clipped on Twitter.

Also, the Boston Archdiocese finally released its internal list of priests accused of sexual abuse, but activists who have been clamoring for it for years were disappointed to see dozens of names left off.

Our panel discusses it all.

Guests:

  • Peter Canellos, editorial page editor, Boston Globe
  • Kyle Cheney, reporter, State House News Service

This segment aired on August 26, 2011.
