Rockabilly Singer Roy Sludge Is 'Too Drunk To Truck'

Roy Sludge and his band sound like they just flew in from Memphis, but this Rockabilly trio is home-grown and Boston-based. Band leader, Roy Sludge, whose real name is Allan Sheinfeld. lives in West Roxbury. Over the past 35 years he's played with numerous bands around town, but Sludge and his band now have a debut album of their own called "Too Drunk To Truck." They perform their title track live in our studio.

The band will be opening up for Peter Wolfe at the Somerville Theatre on Thursday.
