An important ruling from the Supreme Judicial Court on Monday will hold banks responsible for questionable foreclosure practices.

The state's highest court ruled that buyers of some foreclosed homes may not, after all, be the legal owners of the properties they purchased. According to some, the case is sure to add to the turmoil in a housing market already troubled by the foreclosure crisis.
