This was going to be the day when we stopped to preview the start of the NBA season. The Celtics were supposed to tip-off their first game at 7:30 on Wednesday, a game they probably would have won over the worst team in their conference last year, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

We had analysts lined up, scouting reports ready to go, and plenty of talking points. It was going to be great. But with the no end to the basketball lockout in sight, we're turning our focus to other news in the world of sports, including the arrest of Patriots receiver/returner Julian Edelman, the changing nature of the NFL broadcast booth, and Sunday's running of the New York City Marathon.
