ZIP-Code Stories Go Into The Classroom

ZIP-Code Stories is a radio project with The Drum, Boston's audio magazine, in which we ask you to write about a particular community defined by a particular zip-code. This time around it's Framingham, Lowell, Salem, and Somerville. On Tuesday,we'll announce this month's winner.

But we have an interesting twist on our writing contest. We learned that Elizabeth Thompson, who teaches English at Framingham High, decided to use zip-code stories as a teaching tool.

But how does one write about your town in 500 words?
