The Republican presidential candidates will meet in Iowa on Thursday for the last debate of the year - and the last scheduled debate before the Iowa caucus on January 3. Hot on the heels of Iowa, comes the New Hampshire primary on January 10.

If the recent, punchy behavior of front-runners Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich is any indication, tonight's debate could make for some interesting viewing. Radio Boston's political analysts weigh in on what to expect in the debate and the future of the Republican primary. Guests:

  • Susan Tracy, Democratic analyst
  • Jack Clancy, Republican analyst

This program aired on December 15, 2011.
