This week the federal terrorism trial of Tarek Mehanna concluded. The verdict: guilty on all charges.

Meanwhile, the GOP presidential candidates race on. This week, Mitt Romney took his bus tour to New Hampshire and declined a one-on-one debate with Newt Gingrich.

And Friday Congress extended the payroll tax cut, but it wasn't easy.
