There are now just four days until Super Bowl Sunday, and the question tormenting New England: Can Rob Gronkowski give the boot, the boot?!

The big Patriots tight end sprained his left ankle 10 days ago, and Wednesday was his first day without a walking boot. But the Pats are staying tight-lipped about his progress.

"He's tough man ... You know, he wants to be in there and he's going to work his butt to be there," said Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on Tuesday.

But even if Gronkowski can play, how much of a factor will he be. Bill Littlefield of Only A Game joins Radio Boston to offer his take.

Guests:

  • Bill Littlefield, host, NPR's Only A Game
  • Curt Nickish, business and technology reporter, WBUR

This program aired on February 1, 2012.
