Mashpee Tribe Unveils Plan For Casino In Taunton

As Massachusetts moves toward casino gambling, the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian tribe announced Wednesday that it wants to build a casino in Taunton.

The state's new casino law acknowledges the tribe's federal rights to build a casino on Indian land, and today the Wampanoag took a step in that direction. WBUR's Steve Brown was at the announcement and will join Radio Boston to discuss what's next for the tribe's plans.
