A year ago this weekend, after a massive earthquake and tsunami struck northern Japan, the Fukushima nuclear plant began to melt down. That disaster sparked new concerns about the nuclear plants in the U.S., including the aging Pilgrim nuclear plant here in Massachusetts.

Among those with concerns is Attorney General Martha Coakley, who challenged the relicensing of the plant. On Friday, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission rejected Coakley's challenge, which means Pilgrim moves a step closer to being relicensed for another 20 years.
