Dueling Plans To Reduce Health Care Costs Emerge On Beacon Hill
ResumeCurrently, there are two competing vision to control health care costs in Massachusetts. Last week, state House leaders proposed a bill some described as "aggressive." It included, among other things, a 10 percent tax on hospitals with unjustifiably high prices.
On Wednesday, leaders in the Massachusetts Senate released their bill, which gives the healthcare industry a bit more leeway to right its own ship. Their move sets up legislative battles that are likely to last through the summer.
