The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled on Friday that women do not open themselves to criminal charges by giving birth without medical assistance.

In 2007, a Milford woman gave birth to a nearly full-term baby whose body was later found in the trash.

In our regular CommonHealth segment, Rachel Zimmerman reports on the court's ruling that affirms the rights of pregnant women to decline medical care, even when the life of the baby is at risk.
