Following on its first-in-the-nation health care reform, Massachusetts has become the first state to try to deal with the growing problem of dramatically rising health care costs.

Gov. Deval Patrick signed into law today a plan which lawmakers hope will curb rising health care costs and become a model for the rest of the country.
