After nearly 30 years in the Boston area, the Revolving Museum is closing its doors.

The alternative art group spent its first two decades in Fort Point, but was pushed out of the area due to gentrification.

In the hopes of revitalizing the downtown art scene, the city of Lowell loaned the Revolving Museum big bucks as an incentive to move there. There, the roaming art group became a brick and mortar community space.

However, it is now scheduled to close after about a decade in Lowell.
