Week In Review: Brown And Warren Debate, Drug Lab Fallout Continues 23:21
Play
The U.S. Senate candidates had their first debate Thursday night. Republican incumbent Sen. Scott Brown pointed to his Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren's claims of Native American heritage, while Warren criticized Brown's voting record.
Also this week, fallout over the alleged mishandling of tens of thousands of samples at a state drug lab continued to ripple throughout the Commonwealth. A convicted drug dealer was allowed to withdraw his guilty plea after it was discovered that state chemist Annie Dookhan had tested the evidence used to convict him, and Department of Public Health Commissioner John Auerbach resigned.
And Massachusetts scaled back its 2008 ban on medical companies paying for doctors' meals.
