We speak with former Maine Gov. Angus King, who is running for U.S. Senate in Maine against Republican Secretary of State Charlie Summers and Democratic state Sen. Cynthia Dill. It's one of the state's most contested races in years and has attracted more than $6 million in campaign contributions from out of state.

And we are joined by Susan Sharon, deputy news director at Maine Public Broadcasting, to discuss that race and the ballot question which might make Maine the first state in the nation to approve gay marriage by popular vote.

This segment aired on November 5, 2012.
