We recently heard from former Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey, who told us about a taxi driver she met on the campaign trail and how he was emblematic of middle class Americans whom she says would benefit under Mitt Romney's tax plan. Healy wrote about her experience for WBUR's opinion page, Cognoscenti.

Former Gov. Michael Dukakis disagrees. In another recent Cognoscenti piece, he wrote that so-called "Obamacare" has been the biggest boon to middle class Americans:

Once it’s fully implemented the rest of America will know what we in Massachusetts already know from our experience with Romneycare over the past six years. It doesn’t threaten our liberty; it expands our liberty and improves the quality of life for all our citizens.

We speak with Dukakis about his stance.
