The candidates in the special U.S. Senate election spent the weekend criss-crossing the state to make their final pitches to voters. With just hours to go before election day, the most recent polls have shown that the outcome will all come down to who shows up at the polls tomorrow.

No matter how you're leaning in the election, Vice President Joe Biden said it best at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth on Saturday: "Do the country a favor, do yourself a favor, vote and get everybody you know to vote."

Guests

Susan Tracy, president of The Strategy Group and former Democratic state representative.

Nancy Dwight, chair of Dwight Partners and former executive director of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

WBUR, "Gomez does not have the 15,000 volunteers the Markey campaign says it has. But as people rush out to meet Gomez, he says he’ll win people over, one at a time."

Associated Press, "Both campaigns are putting added emphasis on their efforts to ensure their voters get to the polls. The ramped up get-out-the-vote drives come amid warnings from the state’s top election official that turnout could be very light given distractions like the start of summer vacation and the Bruins’ pursuit of hockey’s Stanley Cup."

This segment aired on June 24, 2013.
