Few Front Runners Emerge, But Boston Mayoral Race Still Tight

The field of 12 candidates vying to become the next mayor of Boston will be narrowed down to two on Tuesday and a new WBUR poll shows a tight race. It's one of three polls out this week, which show similar results.

WBUR/MassINC Poll The poll suggests Connolly’s focus on the Boston Public Schools has paid dividends.

Boston Herald/Suffolk University Poll The race is so tight that the top two spots could be decided by just a few hundred votes.

Boston Globe/University of New Hampshire Poll The poll shows a field so tightly bunched and volatile that as many as nine candidates have a plausible shot at the final.
