Stephanie Schorow's latest book, "Drinking Boston: A History of the City and Its Spirits," details the city’s rich history of distilling, brewing and — of course — drinking.

Radio Boston co-host Anthony Brooks took a field trip to the historic South End waterhole, J.J. Foley's Irish Pub and Restaurant, to meet with Schorow.
