Matthew Rodriguez of Fairhaven, Mass., was just seven years old when the 9-11 attacks plunged his country into war in the distant mountains of Afghanistan.
Politicians continue to haggle over how much longer the U.S. military will stay there. But the war is slowly coming to a close.
Matthew Rodriguez's war ended earlier this month when he was killed during combat operations in Helmand Province.
He was a 19-year-old Marine.
